Graduate Solution Architect Traineeship
In this role, you support leading manufacturing companies in improving their product development processes by analyzing how engineering teams collaborate, manage data, and bring products to life. You help design, configure, and roll out PLM solutions—primarily using PTC Windchill (and related tools like Creo)—from initial workshops and process mapping to implementation and user support. You grow through a structured training program, hands-on customer projects, and close mentoring, with exposure to the wider digital product development stack.

At Innoptus, part of the 4ITEGO Group, we are launching an exclusive graduate track for talented Master students and recent graduates in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines. Under the intensive guidance of highly experienced colleagues, you will evolve from ambitious starter or first experienced engineer to PLM Consultant to an impactful Solution Architect, while working with PTC technologies such as Windchill and Creo at top-tier customers across Belgium and the Netherlands.
What you will do
- Start in a hands-on consulting role where you get to know our customers’ product development processes from the inside.
- Analyze how R&D, engineering and manufacturing teams collaborate, manage data and bring industrial products to life.
- Help design and configure innovative PLM solutions (with a strong focus on PTC Windchill) that make those processes smarter, faster and more reliable.
- Support the full innovation journey at our customers: from first workshops and process mapping to implementation, rollout and user support.
- Work closely together with a multidisciplinary team of Innoptus PLM consultants and Solution Architects who are eager to share their knowledge with you.
- Visit and collaborate with a wide variety of manufacturing companies in Belgium and the Netherlands – from high-tech SMEs to international industry leaders.
Your growth path - from graduate to Solution Architect
We don’t expect you to be a Solution Architect on day one. Instead, we offer you a clear development path and all the support you need to get there.
- Tailor‑made training programme: an intensive onboarding and learning journey focused on PTC Windchill, PLM concepts, product development processes and consulting skills.
- Personal mentor: a senior Technical Consultant who coaches you, challenges you and helps you translate theory into real project impact.
- Learning on the job: you join customer projects from the start, gradually taking on more responsibility as your knowledge and confidence grow.
- Exposure to the full digital product development stack: CAD, PDM/PLM, simulation, IoT and AR – together with your colleagues within the 4ITEGO Group.
Is this you?
- You are a final-year Master student, a recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering or an Engineer with a first work experience, in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- You are genuinely curious about how things are designed and made, and you enjoy looking at problems from both a technical and process perspective.
- You have a strong interest in software and enjoy learning how complex systems work. Any experience with PLM, PDM, CAD or scripting/programming is a plus, not a must.
- You communicate fluently in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong asset.
- You like variety in your work, are willing to travel within Belgium and the Netherlands, and enjoy working directly with customers.
- You are a team player who likes to take ownership, ask questions and continuously improve.
- When you live in the region of Antwerp – Leuven- Eindhoven- Hasselt, this is an extra plus
