Application Engineer – Mechanical Simulation
As an Application Engineer, you'll be a trusted technical advisor for Ansys Mechanical users. You'll support customers through technical support, training, and pre-sales activities, from troubleshooting complex simulations to delivering workshops and demonstrating simulation workflows.
Your mission
- Provide technical support to Ansys Mechanical users via our engineering helpdesk.
- Solve structural, thermal, dynamic, and nonlinear simulation challenges.
- Deliver customer training, workshops, and webinars.
- Support pre-sales by demonstrating Ansys Mechanical and advising on simulation workflows.
- Visit customers to understand engineering challenges and recommend simulation solutions.
- Collaborate with Ansys technical teams on advanced support cases.
- Keep up to date with the latest simulation technologies and share knowledge internally.
Your superpowers
You're passionate about solving technical problems and enjoy working with customers. You communicate complex concepts clearly and like helping others succeed.
You have:
- A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of structural mechanics and finite element analysis (FEA).
- Experience with Ansys Mechanical (Workbench and/or APDL) or similar FEA software.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- A customer-focused mindset.
- Excellent English; Dutch and/or French is an advantage.

- Nonlinear structural analysis
- Dynamics and vibration
- Python, ACT, or APDL scripting
